How do I find my last day to give notice?

Take the contract's effective date, add the term, and count back the notice window. With a 12-month term that renews itself unless you opt out 60 days before the end, your real deadline is around day 305, not day 365. Put that date in your calendar today. The full reasoning is in contract red flags: auto-renewal.

What should my notice email say?

Keep it short and calm, on the channel your contract names, with the date and the clause. Our free notice email template covers the handover requests too. Don't breach the contract: keep paying invoices that are due until the end date.

When is your last day to give notice?

Q: Is the date the calculator shows binding?

No. It's simple date math, not legal advice. Your contract decides how days are counted, how notice must be sent and when it counts as received. Read the notice clause, and for a dispute ask a lawyer licensed where you live.

A contract that renews itself has a deadline long before its end date. Enter four things from your contract and see the last day to send notice, on a timeline. Simple date math, run in your browser.

Enter your contract's start date to see your dates.

Counted in calendar days: effective date plus the term, minus the notice period, as in our guide to auto-renewal. Some contracts count business days, or count from when notice is received. Nothing you enter is sent or stored.
