DMCA takedown notice generator
Found your photos or videos on a site you never approved? That's stressful, and you can act on it today. Fill in the form and get a takedown notice with every element U.S. copyright law asks for, ready to copy or download. It's built in your browser: nothing you type is sent to us or stored.
Not legal advice. This builds a standard notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). Only list content you own or are authorized to act for: a notice with false statements can make you liable. For a dispute or a counter-notice, ask a lawyer licensed where you live.
Your notice
2 of 6 elements ready
- Your original work missing
- Links to the copies missing
- How to reach you missing
- Good-faith statement included
- Accuracy, under penalty of perjury included

Built in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or stored, and closing the tab clears it, so copy or download your notice first. Then see where to send it.
Where to send it
Start with the site, then go one level up
Send one notice per site, with every link on that site. Keep a copy and note the date you sent it.
-
01 · The site itself
The site's own DMCA or abuse contact
Look for “DMCA”, “Copyright”, “Report” or “Abuse” in the site's footer or terms. Many sites have a form: paste your notice into it, or email it to the address they list. Sites that operate in the US often register a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office.
-
02 · The hosting provider
The company that hosts or serves the site
If the site doesn't answer or hides its contact, send the same notice one level up. ICANN Lookup shows a domain's registrar, its abuse contact and its name servers, which often point to the host. If the site runs through Cloudflare, use its abuse form: Cloudflare passes copyright complaints on to the hosting provider and the site operator, and only processes complete notices.

03 · Search results
Google, to drop the links from search
Even while a page is still up, you can ask Google to remove its link from search results. Use Google's legal removal request and choose the copyright option. Google may share a copy of removal requests with Lumen, a public research database; it says it never shares what you enter in the contact fields.
After you send it. Keep a dated copy of every notice and every reply. Don't contact, pay or argue with the uploader. If you receive a counter-notice, read it carefully before you answer, and consider asking a lawyer.
